Corvette club of South Australia Inc.

When I obtained my drivers licence I was still in High School so I could not buy my own set of wheels, I used my parent's 1952 Chevrolet utility. I always fancied buying my own American muscle car, but just never got around to it until I retired. In 2016 I purchased my first C3 Corvette STING 8. My wife and I enjoyed driving the car but after 4 years decided that perhaps we might upgrade to a newer model. So I put it up sale on the internet and in a few weeks it was sold and on it's way to Brisbane. Now to find my new car, I researched different models and searched the internet until I found one that I fancied. It was located in Sydney, being a bit cautious I didn't want to buy it without trying. Jan and I flew to Sydney, checked the car and had a test drive, satisfied with the price we did a road trip driving it home. The car I settled on was a 2005 C6 Corvette convertible (MY 2005}, victory red with black cloth canopy (powered), automatic with just 27Ks on the clock. I am the 4th owner with previous owners in Qld (who imported it and did RH conversion), Vic and NSW. The original SATNAV has been replaced with a Pioneer sound system/SATNAV/Blue tooth and 6 CD stacker. The last owner imported and fitted a towbar to the vehicle which makes my car distinct. I love driving the car and Jan is enjoying he luxury in the vehicle in particular the heated seats.

Thanks Alan
